Cosmetic function
The pure oil is obtained from the seeds of the Schinus terebinthifolius plant and presents a remarkable lipolytic activity that acts directly on accumulations of lipids: it reduces the size of the fatty droplets and makes them more amenable to the lipases action, in this way the enzyme's scope is multiplied. Thanks to this effect there is a stimulation of skin microcirculation that leads to a significant drop in thigh circumference.
Description
Schinus terebinthifolius is a tree in the A nacardiaceae family native to Brazil. It grows to a height of up to 15 metres, has evergreen leaves and small white flowers that grow in clusters. The fruit is in the form of berries which emanate the characteristic peppery smell. This tree is commonly known as Pink Pepper or False Pepper: the name comes from the typical colour of the fruit and its shape, very similar to that of a peppercorn.
Notes
The Pink Pepper tree is often used in the hotter regions of South America as an ornamental plant due to its particular shape, similar to that of a weeping willow, with bending branches almost touching the ground.
